3:02Now PlayingEU defence ministers met in Brussels on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine and the escalating situation in the Middle East. The meeting focused on strengthening European security cooperation, increasing military support for Ukraine, and addressing growing regional instability.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said that Ukraine remains a top priority for the European Union. “We have the defense minister of Ukraine joining us, and of course there is also the question of how we can use the €90 billion loan and how this process will move forward so that it responds to the urgent needs of Ukraine,” Kallas said.
Ministers are expected to discuss military aid packages, ammunition supplies, and long-term defense cooperation with Kyiv. The talks also include concerns over security in the Middle East, where rising tensions continue to affect global stability and energy markets.
