May 2, 20264:48Now PlayingRiot police clashed with demonstrators at Berlin's May Day protest on Friday, charging at protesters and detaining several people. Visuals show activists standing in tight formation, locking arms and forming a defensive line before police push them onto the road and detain them. Officers can also be seen surrounding and scuffling with demonstrators throughout the confrontation.
The clashes came as Antifa and other labour activists staged demonstrations across Berlin to mark International Workers' Day. This year's May Day saw thousands of workers take to the streets across Europe and beyond, driven largely by soaring living costs and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
