Sources say the Governor once again questioned how TVK plans to prove its numbers, even after Congress extended support to the party.
TVK has argued that, as the single-largest party, it should be invited to form the government and be allowed to prove its majority on the Assembly floor through a floor test. However, Raj Bhavan reportedly remains unconvinced amid the ongoing numbers crunch.
The second round of talks ended without a breakthrough, with TVK now said to be lining up additional support letters while also exploring legal options over the government formation process.
With no final decision yet from Raj Bhavan, the political deadlock in Tamil Nadu continues — and all eyes are now on the Governor’s next move.
