The Senate panel's lengthy hearing ended with a focus on the challenge of disarming Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group. Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker, the committee’s Republican chair, noted how Hezbollah has continually fired rockets into Israel, while Israel had launched a ground offensive into southern Lebanon focused on Hezbollah, displacing a million people.
American forces battling Iran are adopting tactics from Ukrainians, according to the US commander. Cooper told the committee that American forces have learned a lot from the Ukrainian military, which is battle-hardened from its war with Russia.
