In 1998, Rep. Michele Bachmann joined a non-profit watchdog called Maple River Education Coalition and began touring the state speaking to church groups about the far-reaching consequences of state and federal education reform. With the support of the MREC, Bachmann secured a seat in the state senate and began to quietly emerge as a figure to watch on among social conservatives. In the middle of all of this, she made a movie called Guinea Pig Kids II. Here's a clip.
