With Donald Trump set to return as president in January, Fox News once again has an outsized seat at the table—as both his favorite channel and his inner monologue.

One week on from the election, @katmabu recaps five of the Totally Normal and Definitely Not Evil Fox News stories you might have missed.

The list kicks off with “women.” Although a majority of American women, especially Black and brown women, voted for Vice President Kamala Harris, Fox News sent some mixed messages. Host Jesse Watters complained that feminists are "going on a sex strike to punish all the men they’re not sleeping with," while frequent guest Dana Loesch claimed Trump’s victory would chasten women: “Trump also made all these chicks screaming about abortions discover modesty,” she said. “So they’re actually going to be ladies and not out there screwing everything that walks.”

Meanwhile, another Fox star, Jeanine Pirro, asserted that Trump isn’t seeking retribution, despite saying he would, repeatedly and at length, while the rest of the Fox team enjoyed their place back in Trump’s de facto kitchen cabinet” proposing potential top government picks and policies.

Kat argues that these figures feel invincible—and with Trump in charge, they kind of are, at least for now. But there’s one advantage to Fox News: it’s public, which means we get a clear look at what’s being fed into Trump’s brain every morning, afternoon, and night.

And we’ll be there to keep track, every step of the way.
