You would think a sitting Congressperson would have better things to do than tweet all day.
Well, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is proving us all wrong, says Digital Fellow Henry Carnell. According to Newsweek, Mace tweeted about trans people over 300 times in just 24 hours. (Obsessed much?) But among all that bigoted noise was one tweet that got Carnell's attention: "Wore pink tonight, to celebrate my real womanhood."
Looking at the history of the color pink reveals something that Mace and her conservative colleagues fundamentally misunderstand: Biology and gender are not the same. So Carnell takes us on a quick history lesson that demonstrates just how wrong Mace is about... all of this.
