In New York City, Mirella Camacho, the daughter of immigrant parents, told Mother Jones' Cynthia Rodriguez it was important to come to the protest and speak out on their behalf.
"I'm a child of an immigrant. That's my first reason for being out here," she said. "If my parents can't fight for themselves, I want to be able to fight for them—and make their voice count."
