0:40Now PlayingMSNBC's Michael Steele reacts to President Trump saying he doesn't "know anything about" Jeffrey Goldberg, The Atlantic's editor-in-chief, accidentally being included in a group text in which top national security officials discussed war plans.
At first, Goldberg says he was unsure the group chat was authentic and exited the conversation after concluding it was real. “At this time, the message thread that was reported appears to be authentic, and we are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain,” the National Security Council said in a statement to NBC News and the White House said it is reviewing the incident.
