as posted by the channelPresident Donald Trump says he is pausing his tariffs scheme for 90 days on 75 trading partners who have not retaliated against his administration's tariff regime that accelerated after midnight Wednesday.
However, Trump said duties against China would now climb to a total of 125%, effective immediately.
"Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately," he wrote.
Moments ago White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spoke to the press.
