Meanwhile, in very different scenes playing out across the country, organizers are staging protests in hundreds of cities and towns in what they are calling a nationwide day of defiance. The protests come during a week of heightened tensions over President Trump's immigration raids, a week that saw Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla of California forcibly removed from DHS Sec. Kristi Noem's press conference on Thursday.
