Democratic state attorneys general have filed dozens of lawsuits against the Trump administration and are showing no signs of stopping. From the fight over the Department of Transportation's withholding of funding because of immigration-related disputes to the battle to restore federal health research grants — state AGs are playing offense, not defense. MSNBC Legal Correspondent Lisa Rubin sits down with three of the AGs taking on Trump — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison; Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul; and New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin. They recently testified at a forum on Capitol Hill titled “Defending the Rights of the People” about their role in combating Trump 2.0 through litigation.
