Iowa mother Nancy Baker Curtis relies on Medicaid to help care for her son, Charles William Curtis, who has complex medical needs. In a video that went viral on social media, Baker Curtis says she traveled to Washington D.C. with her son and attempted to meet with her elected official, Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, over the proposed cuts to Medicaid in the GOP budget bill. She says she was turned away.
We spoke with Baker Curtis about her message to lawmakers.
