His firing followed disputes over statements about Gaza; one condemning the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza City, and another mourning the targeted killing of journalists by Israeli forces. Both statements were blocked by the Trump Administration. Ghoreishi joined MSNBC’s The Weekend: Primetime to discuss the lead-up to his firing and how Israel and U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee are steering U.S. foreign policy in the region.
