27:36Now PlayingMSNBC’s Rosa Flores follows Tejano star Bobby Pulido for 48 hours as he leaves a 30-year music career to launch a Democratic campaign in Texas’s 15th District, recently redrawn by Texas Republicans after pressure from President Trump to help secure more GOP seats in next year’s midterms. If he wins the Democratic primary in March, he’ll face Republican Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz — the district’s first Republican and first Latina representative — who flipped the seat in 2021 and was re-elected in 2024. De La Cruz declined to comment on the race, saying she’s focused on “delivering on what South Texans just elected me to do.”
