Most of the federal government is now in a partial shutdown, after lawmakers were unable to pass a spending package in time. The Senate passed a spending measure on Friday that included five of the remaining six appropriations bills, and a two-week continuing resolution for DHS.

This agreement still needs to be passed by the House, which is not slated to return to Washington for a vote until Monday. That means there will at least be a lapse in appropriations for six federal agencies over the weekend.
