7:30Now PlayingThe Senate Judiciary Committee is set to vote on advancing Todd Blanche's nomination to become Attorney General on a permanent basis. It appears President Trump's former personal attorney now has the support needed, after he issued two orders late Sunday night rescinding the President's $1.776 billion dollar so-called anti-weaponization fund, and clarifying that the president's settlement with the IRS for tax audit immunity for Trump and his family members only applies to claims open at the time of the settlement and does not protect the president or his family from future tax filings. But this morning there are still concerns about legal loopholes the president could use to restore the nearly $1.8 billion dollar taxpayer fund. Blanche's signed order did not state that the fund was withdrawn permanently, meaning there is a possibility the DOJ could try to revive it. That is compounded by the fact that the settlement agreement, which yielded the fund, remains in effect. Blanche didn’t publish any document signaling that agreement has been voided. MS NOW’s Jack Fitzpatrick joins Way Too Early to break it all down.
