3:34Now PlayingA week-and-a-half after Hurricane Maria battered Puerto Rico, while universities in a number of U.S. states offered to take in Puerto Rican students affected by the storm, hundreds of students from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) arrived at the Río Piedras campus to begin to rebuild.
Equipped with shovels, rakes, saws, machetes, and brooms, students of literature, political science and law cut trees, picked up debris and recovered books from flooded classrooms.
