Garcia cannot miss work at her job in Texas, but promises Andi she can come to get her in two weeks. The pair discuss what day and where they will meet, then all communication from Andi stops. On August 6th, Andi's sister chats with her briefly while Andi packs an overnight bag for a visit to a friend. She never returns. When Garcia makes it to Evansville after a 13-hour drive, she learns her daughter is gone. Several sightings of Andi are reported from nearby Newburgh and Oakland City, Indiana, which lies about 45 minutes north of Evansville. Andi's mother, Elane Garcia, has received several more tips indicating Andi was seen at the apartment of a man she was dating the night of the 6th. He says Andi left while he was sleeping, but others report seeing Andi at a party with him in Oakland City the night of August 7th. Andi Wagner, now 25, has been missing for over a year.
