This was an essential part of many childhoods around the world. While this experience is no more, most of us recall it fondly. Now, there’s just one Blockbuster left in America—in Bend, Oregon—and folks still flock to it for flicks. We traveled to Bend to see if our memories hold true, and examined why we so often yearn for the way things used to be. Does nostalgia serve us well?
