Mann was diagnosed with vestibular migraines, and found that no treatment helped. She channeled her passion into new forms: sketches of daily life and painting. “The pictures are like the music and the captions are like the lyrics,” she tells NBC News’ Maggie Vespa. The shift helped reduce the symptoms Mann experienced from vestibular migraines. Now she’s reclaiming her music and the stage with a tour planned later this year.
