NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell talks to a man that U.S. troops called Frank. He spent months hiding and pleading for help from nonprofit aid groups. Philip Caruso of No One Left Behind says there was a “series of failures” that allowed the U.S. government to fail Afghan translators who had helped the U.S. military. The translators receive no benefits despite years of service. Colorado Congressman Jason Crow, an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran, is trying to change that.
