27:22Now PlayingPresident Barack Obama has appeared on “Meet the Press” on 12 occasions. As president, he was interviewed by Chuck Todd in his first broadcast as moderator. Todd asked about ISIS, immigration reform and Ebola. Obama said that, if the Democrats hold the Senate in the upcoming midterms, it would send “a message to Republicans that people want to get stuff done. That their strategy of just obstructing and saying no to every piece of legislation that might help middle class families, that might create ladders of opportunity for people, that that is an agenda that the American people reject.” That year, the Republicans won a majority in the Senate, securing 54 seats.
