Agnew served as vice president during the Nixon administration, from 1969 until his resignation in 1973. He criticized the media’s coverage of the war and accused reporters of trying to “bear out [their] own conclusions.” Agnew also said he didn’t think the administration fulfilled its campaign promises except for tackling inflation.
