2:56Now Playing17-year-old Gabby Garcia is expressing herself while breaking boundaries being a drummer with the Fort Myers High School marching band in Florida. Gabby was born deaf, and later got cochlear implants. She was determined to play the drums and learned by feeling the vibrations. Not only does her band director Ledarian Townsend say her skills are “mind-blowing,” but her school band was so good they were honored with an invitation to march in London’s New Year’s Day parade, where Gabby and her classmates played in front of a crowd of thousands.
