Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to James Lindsay, author of Cynical Theories about how an issue with diversity hiring was the first thing that clued him in to the growing problems of wokeness, his recent red pill moment, and why the useful idiots of woke culture may be more dangerous than the woke. In this clip James shares a story about diversity in the workplace where he was told that a white man’s opinion didn’t matter and this became the beginning of his obsession with social justice and critical theory. That was when he first started hearing phrases like systemic racism. He explains what made him, Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose decide to create the grievance studies hoax as well as how it revealed that things were much worse than they even thought by finding some scholars who proclaimed that equity isn't enough.
