For those who are unfamiliar with SEL, it is currently a multi-billion-dollar business *and* government initiative, not just in the US, but globally. It is now in every school district, and in every subject area, and its proponents make grand claims about how it will "transform" not just our children, and our system of education, but our world.
James wondered how it aims to do this, and more importantly, why, and ended up back at square one, asking "WTF is SEL" in the first place, because what we're being told it is, and what it actually is, appear to be very different!
