Children are told the world is dying and that it is their responsibility to save it, creating stress, confusion, and guilt. SEL, he says, is not neutral. It is the method used to embed this worldview into the classroom. But Lindsay offers hope: courage is the bridge between belief and action. Speak up. Tell the truth. Even small actions, like showing banned books or calling out what is happening in schools, can spark change. The system depends on silence. Break that silence and you become part of something greater than yourself.
