'Petite model fights stereotypes by eating 120 McNuggets'
Somebody feed the model! Or not…
Wearing a “Keep Calm and Eat On” shirt, a petite Nela Zisser, formerly Miss Earth New Zealand, decided to try her hand at the popular “120 Chicken McNugget Challenge.”
“Normally this is done in teams, but today I’m doing it solo,” she explains at the beginning of the online video, looking a little skittish.
As she rifles through boxes of the McDonald’s food, she carefully dips each nugget into sauce before eating it. Occasionally she reaches for water, but Zisser mostly keeps a consistent pace. This is clearly an experienced eater at work.
“That is harder than it looks,” she says after eating all 120 McNuggets in just over 16 minutes. Without losing any along the way, Zisser appears out of breath by the end.
Still, the effort fell short of Matt Stonie’s victory, who ate 120 McNuggets in just over 14 minutes, according to Zisser.
This won’t keep her down. When the 22-year-old stunner is not strutting her stuff on the catwalk, she is a competitive eater.
'Model devours 5footlong Subway sandwich'
This is the video of a model devouring five feet worth of Subway sandwiches in under 10 minutes.
Nela Zisser is perhaps the most unlikely competitive eater you’ll encounter, but the 23-year-old former Miss Earth New Zealand winner can put away an impressive amount of food.
And her latest challenge is no small feat — a chain of subs stretching five feet.
Zisser smashed all five foot-long Subway sandwiches in nine minutes and 17 seconds. That’s almost 17 centimetres of sub per minute.
In a cross-Tasman challenge, Zisser was trying to beat the time of Australian competitive eater Isaac Harding-Davis, who finished his five subs in five minutes 17 seconds. She mightn’t have won, but her effort was impressive all the same.
This isn’t her first rodeo. She has tackled a whole host of big eating challenges including 120 chicken McNuggets, a 2.2 pound burrito and 50 cheese sticks.
Zisser documents her culinary crusades via social media.
The Subway challenge was inspired by American big eater Matt Stonie, who Zisser describes as her idol.
Stonie is second-ranked in the world by Major League Eating — the officially sanctioned organization of competitive eating.
