A 72-year-old man is making waves in synchronized swimming – a sport almost entirely comprised of females. Harvey Burgett began swimming less than a decade ago in a continuing education class taught by Dale Mohammed at Lehman College in New York City. Burgett, who works as a music teacher and composer by day, is one of the few male synchronized swimming competitors in the world.
