Mahesh Pandya works at a Citgo gas station that is located less than a mile from the Buffalo Federal Detention Center in upstate New York, where an average of 450 men are detained daily. Some are deported while others make bond or are granted asylum. "When I come here in the morning, I don't know how many people are coming, what language they speak, and what help they need from me, but I am ready for them," Pandya told Danielle Rose for her film "Little Ellis Island."
