“Foodgod” Jonathan Cheban put his tastebuds to the test during a recent visit to The Black Ant in Manhattan’s East Village, chowing down on ants, grasshoppers, worms and crickets. Joined by pal Ksenia Sles, the daring twosome venture into the eatery’s kitchen, where a variety of creepy crawlers await.

“I’ve never been excited and nervous at the same time,” the “Foodgod” exclaimed.

First dish on deck: chips and guacamole with black ants.

“That’s good,” he proclaimed. “I don’t know what’s better the pomegranate or the ants.”

After chowing down on grasshopper croquettes and tacos, in a “Foodgod” first, he opted out of dessert.

“I want to find a ‘Foodgod’ bug and put it on the menu. Maybe a golden cricket,” he pondered. “Maybe some kind of truffle worm.”
