1:01Now PlayingTodd McShay, a popular veteran NFL Draft analyst and college football sideline reporter for ESPN, announced today that he is temporarily stepping away from his duties with the network where he has been a fixture since 2006.
“I am going to take some time away to focus on my health and my family,” McShay tweeted. “Thank you ESPN for being so supportive and for all the well wishes. I can’t wait to be back on the sidelines soon.”
McShay was a sideline reporter for ESPN/ABC’s coverage of Alabama vs. Miami this past weekend, and a number of viewers took notice that he did not appear to be himself. He was also removed from the Northwestern-Wisconsin broadcast in November after feeling ill and appearing sluggish.
