The show’s producers made the announcement Sunday night without specifying the allegations made against actor James Snyder.
A female co-star made the claims last November, prompting an independent investigation, the producers said.
Snyder had been suspended after the accusations and the woman took a leave of absence from the show.
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which won a Tony Award for best new play in 2018, portrays Potter and his wizard pals as grown-ups.
