as posted by the channelAn explosion rocked a Rio de Janeiro gas station on July 26th. Security footage shows Mario Magalhaes de Penha, 67, opening the trunk of his car after filling it with gas, and moments later, his car exploding. De Penha’s car was destroyed in the blast, which also knocked him backwards, leaving him motionless on the ground.
According to officials, de Penha was taken to Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital afterwards. Local news media has since reported that he passed away due to his injuries. A passerby was also injured in the blast and taken to Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital. It has since been reported that she was discharged on the same day.
