In this incident, the arson suspect, Choephel Norbu, admitted to police that he was “drunk” when he retaliated against the Jackson Heights eatery that supposedly got his order wrong. He threw chicken biriyani in the workers’ faces and returned the next morning with a bucket of gasoline. The officers were “so dismayed” when Norbu was released, says Sheehan.
