Biden presented the National Medal of Arts to “Veep” and “Seinfeld” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bruce Springsteen, fashion designer Vera Wang and “The Office” actress Mindy Kaling, among others.
“I’m going to talk with Julia about whether she likes being VP or president better. I got to figure that one out,” Biden joked — referring to Louis-Dreyfus’ fictional TV ascent to the presidency.
Biden cracked another joke — ribbing his wife Jill Biden — when introducing Wang, noting that he met the famous designer earlier in the day.
“As I said today… I said, ‘Every time I open the closet, I see her’ when I got introduced to Vera. And Jill turned to me and said, ‘What did you say that for?'” the president told his audience.
