0:36Now PlayingWeddings are usually a day to raise a glass of bubbly to the bride and groom. However, TikTok’s #DryWedding hashtag with millions of views says otherwise. Kathlyn Bohatch, a June 2022 bride, celebrated her big day completely sober – and so did all of her guests to keep things from getting out of hand. While the liquor-less event looked “lit,” our host Asia Grace admits that most attendees show up expecting to sip, adding: “You can't leave people high and dry!”
She chatted with another alcohol-free bride, Danielle Kimberly, who got married on the beach in Hawaii. The health-conscious couple toasted with kombucha instead. Thankfully for lushes, not everyone is pouring the booze down the drain. Newlywed Courtney Thomas’ husband doesn't drink, but they still spent $50K on an open bar to accommodate the drinking habits of their wedding guests. Thomas suggested that sober brides should at least offer people a cash bar.
