The strikes came after militants from Hamas-ruled Gaza fired five rockets toward Israel, which the Israeli military said were intercepted.
The strikes took place as the Israeli military withdrew its troops from a militant stronghold in the occupied West Bank, ending an intense two-day operation that killed at least 12 Palestinians and drove thousands of people from their homes leaving a wide swath of damage in its wake.
One Israeli soldier was also killed in the operation.
