0:32Now PlayingA Russian missile attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on Monday (July 31) killed at least four people, including a 10-year-old girl and her mother, and buried several others under rubble, Ukrainian officials said.
A video posted by Ukraine's state emergency service showed smoke billowing from a gaping hole smashed in the side of a nine-story residential building, with rescuers carrying a body bag from the scene.
Reuters was able to confirm the location as Kryvyi Rih from the position of the buildings and street lights and the shape of the balconies which matched satellite and file imagery of the area.
Serhiy Lysak, the regional governor, wrote on the Telegram messenger app that four people had died, and mayor Oleksandr Vilkul said they included a 10-year-old girl and her 45-year-old mother.
