In the moments before she entered the Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday, New York state Attorney General Letitia James gave brief remarks saying she will hold former President Donald Trump accountable for his alleged fraud.

"My message is simple: No matter how powerful you are, no matter how much money you think you have, no one is above the law," she told reporters outside the courthouse.

"The law is both powerful and fragile. Today in court we will prove our case."
