Footage recorded by Federico Krypner shows the fire on the horizon near Villa Carlos Paz.
No casualties were reported, though a “large number” of houses were destroyed, local media said.
One man was arrested over the incident, with local media reporting he was alleged to have lit a fire to make coffee.
