0:35Now PlayingMarvel actor Jonathan Majors is set to go on trial in New York City on Wednesday on charges that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend during a March encounter inside a taxi near their lower Manhattan home.
Wearing a gray double-breasted suit, black winter coat and tortoise-shell sunglasses, Majors arrived in Manhattan Criminal Court just after 9:30 a.m. with his new girlfriend — actress and model Meagan Good — by his side.
He held a copy of a bible, a small notebook and a ceramic mug in his hands, and sat in the first row of the gallery, with Good’s arm around him.
The court was expected to hold a hearing at around 10 a.m. on the extent of evidence that the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office can introduce during the trial, prior to the start of jury selection.
The “Loki” star, 34, faces misdemeanor assault and harassment charges stemming from a March 25 altercation that erupted after Majors’ ex, professional dancer Grace Jabbari, saw a text on his phone that read, “I wish I was kissing you right now,” court papers say.
