The “Saltburn” star graced Sunday’s carpet in a black Dior Haute Couture gown and matching headpiece that she called a “protective veil” in an interview with Variety’s Marc Malkin.
“I had an accident over Christmas — I had a skiing accident and I had to think, you know, not what you want when you’re coming to the Golden Globes on the seventh of January,” Pike, 44, said.
“So on the 26th of December, my face was entirely smashed up,” she continued. “And I thought I need to protect I need to do something.”
“Actually, it’s healed,” Pike admitted as Malkin remarked that he didn’t see any bruising.
