as posted by the channelSen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) was indicted for a fourth time on Tuesday on superseding charges of extortion and obstruction of justice related to his bribery case in Manhattan.
Menendez, 70, and his wife Nadine were charged alongside co-defendants Wael Hana and Fred Daibes on 18 counts as part of a bribery scheme to benefit the New Jersey businessmen, the Egyptian government and Qatar, a new court filing shows.
The bribes included more than $500,000 in cash, over $150,000 in gold bars, home mortgage payments, payments for a “low-or-no-show job” and Mercedes-Benz convertible, among other things.
