The White House press secretary made an April Fool of herself on Monday, opening her briefing with a lame attempt at a prank that tricked absolutely no one in the press corps.

“So President Biden is scheduled to announce he is revoking the Hatch Act,” a grinning Jean-Pierre said confidently as she took the podium. “So as a gift to all of you, so now I can actually take all your questions about 2024.”
