0:27Now PlayingOne wildlife enthusiast was left astonished, and a bit scared, when a fin whale glided beneath his boat in Neko Harbour, Antarctica, in February last year.
Dimitrije Stojsin, who captured the footage, told Storyful that he was in his rubber boat when the whale “decided to greet” him.
“The excitement was huge,” Stojsin wrote on Facebook where he shared the video. “Das ist jetzt ein bisschen scary,” he can be heard saying.
Fin whales are the second largest species of whale.
