5:48Now PlayingWith his attorneys, some of his children and other supporters standing feet behind him in the court hallway just now, Donald Trump spoke to reporters for about three minutes, first slamming President Biden, who he says "ruined our country."
"This is all election hunting, election interfering, going after Joe Biden’s opponent because he can’t do it himself," Trump said.
As has become his MO during the trial, the former president read from a sheet of paper he had in hand with quotes from media outlets and legal scholars — today including a Wall Street Journal editorial and a Jonathan Turley column in The Post — saying, “I don’t know these people but they’re great legal scholars.”
“They should’ve brought this case seven years ago, not in the middle of my campaign where we’re leading by a lot," he said, later adding, "There’s nothing wrong, this is everybody saying it. We have a judge that’s corrupt.”
"I could give you a list of 40 people who could tell you everything these people say," Trump said, referencing potential witnesses he said his team wanted to testify in the case but who were not allowed to.
