10:30Now PlayingThe Michigan man who called into a court appearance for driving with a suspended license while driving — and then blamed it on a clerical error — is back in jail after yet another wild twist in the viral story.
Washtenaw County Judge J. Cedric Simpson revealed Wednesday that after digging through court documents and state records, Corey Harris, 44, has never had a valid driver’s license.
The judge also discovered that Harris had an outstanding warrant for, naturally, driving with a suspended license.
“Let me make it very clear, based on what the court looked at — [Harris] has never had a Michigan license. Ever,” Simpson, clearly annoyed, said. “And he has never had a license in the other 49 states and commonwealths that form up this great union. He has never had a license.”
