The Barstool Sports founder, who was wearing a bandage on the left side of his neck, made the startling announcement on “The Dozen Trivia” Wednesday night.
“A lot of pressure. This is all that matters. We’ve been waiting for all season,” Portnoy, who was wearing a bandage on his neck, said of the trivia matchup. “I have cancer, by the way. No big deal.”
Portnoy later took to X, formerly Twitter, to clarify he’s now cancer-free.
“I did have cancer. I beat it. It wasn’t the serious kind thank god. I can’t tell if [Rico] Bosco thinks cancer is funny or not,” Portnoy wrote on X with an accompanying video that showed him talking to Bosco and Dan Katz.
